In this Letter, we propose a model which is equivalent to the Yang-Mills theory at long distances but for which all symmetries are realized linearly. On top of the gauge and Fadeev-Popov ghosts fields, the model presents several massive fields, all of which can be merged in a unique vector field with support in a curved superspace. The equivalence of this model with the gauge-fixed Yang-Mills t...
The flux tube solution in the Euclidean spacetime with the color longitudinal electric field in the SU(2) Yang Mills Higgs theory with broken gauge symmetry is found. Some arguments is given that this flux tube is a pure quantum object in the SU(3) quantum theory reduced to the SU(2) Yang Mills Higgs theory.
From its inception in statistical physics to its role in the construction and in the development of the asymmetric Yang-Mills phase in quantum field theory, the notion of spontaneous broken symmetry permeates contemporary physics. This is reviewed with particular emphasis on the conceptual issues. Contribution to “Fifty years of Yang Mills theory”, editor G. ’t Hooft, World Scientific.
This is a short and simple introduction into perturbiners, that is, the solutions of field equations which are generating functions for tree amplitudes. The perturbiners have been constructed in Yang-Mills, in SUSY Yang-Mills, in gravity, and in sin(h)-Gordon.
We study a static, spherically symmetric system of (2j+1) massive Dirac particles, each having angular momentum j, j = 1, 2, . . ., in a classical gravitational and SU(2) Yang-Mills field. We show that for any black hole solution of the associated EinsteinDirac-Yang/Mills equations, the spinors must vanish identically outside of the event horizon.
It is shown that the same essentially non-semiclassical mechanism, which generates in the nonsuper-symmetric pure Yang-Mills theory the binary condensate of gauge field strengths, is responsible for the spontaneous breaking of the two supersymmetries in N=2 super Yang-Mills systems. A detailed discussion is presented in ref. 1
Classical dynamics of SU(2) model gauge field system with Higgs field is considered in the homogeneous nonperturbative self-dual vacuum field. The regions of instability in parametric space are detected and described analytically. Introduction Much attention has been paid in the last decade to chaos in quantum field theory. At first, non-abelian Yang-Mills gauge fields were investigated without...
By regarding gravity as the convolution of left and right Yang-Mills theories together with a spectator scalar field in the biadjoint representation, we derive in linearized approximation, the gravitational symmetries of general covariance, p-form gauge invariance, local Lorentz invariance, and local supersymmetry from the flat space Yang-Mills symmetries of local gauge invariance and global su...
Local effective action is derived to describe Regge asymptotic of Yang–Mills theories. Local symmetries of the effective action originating from the gauge symmetry of the underlying Yang–Mills theory are studied. Multicomponent effective action is introduced to express the symmetry transformations as field transformations. The algebra of these symmetries is decomposed onto a semi-direct sum of ...
