The title compound, (C(4)H(7)N(4)O)(2)[Bi(2)Cl(9)(C(4)H(7)N(4)O)]·H(2)O, was prepared by the reaction of bis-muth trichloride and 5-amino-1H-imidazole-4-carboxamide in a dilute HCl medium.
