' 2003 Canadian Medical Association A cysts are rare, and mostly asymptomatic. The incidence in autopsy series varies from 0.064% to 0.18%. With computed tomography (CT) and ultrasonography, more cysts are being detected incidentally. In one study, adrenal cysts were discovered incidentally in 0.02% of 12 000 CT scans. We describe a case of a giant adrenal pseudocyst mimicking a malignant lesion.

ADRENAL-SPECIFIC RADIOLIGAND, 131I-6β-iodomethyl-19norcholest-5(10)-en-3β-ol (131I-adosterol)1 was developed in the 1970s. Increased uptake of the agent in tumor regardless of visualization of the contralateral gland suggests that the adrenal mass is usually a benign cortical adenoma.2 This agent has the potency to diagnose lesions of the adrenal cortex and has been widely used to diagnose lesi...

Adrenal length and width were determined from two-dimensional ultrasound longitudinal images. In study 1, 540 measurements of adrenal glands were attempted from five healthy beagle dogs by three different observers with different levels of expertise in ultrasonography, to determine the variability of adrenal gland measurements.
