For finding zeros or fixed points of set-valued maps, the fact that the space of convex, compact, nonempty sets of R is not a vector space presents a major disadvantage. Therefore, fixed point iterations or variants of Newton’s method, in which the derivative is applied only to a smooth single-valued part of the set-valued map, are often applied for calculations. We will embed the set-valued ma...

We analyze a convex stochastic optimization problem where the state is assumed to belong Bochner space of essentially bounded random variables with images in reflexive and separable Banach space. For this problem, we obtain optimality conditions that are, an appropriate model, necessary sufficient. Additionally, Lagrange multipliers associated are integrable vector-valued functions not only mea...

Decoupling inequalities disentangle complex dependence structures of random objects so that they can be analyzed by means standard tools from the theory independent variables. We study decoupling for vector-valued homogeneous polynomials evaluated at focus on providing geometric conditions ensuring with good constants depending only exponentially degree polynomial. Assuming Banach space has fin...

We establish triviality of some holomorphic Banach vector bundles on the maximal ideal space M(H∞) of the Banach algebra H∞ of bounded holomorphic functions on the unit disk D ⊂ C with pointwise multiplication and supremum norm. We apply the result to the study of the Sz.-Nagy operator corona problem. 1. Formulation of Main Results 1.1. We continue our study started in [Br2] of analytic objects...

It is known that there are several approaches to define a Sobolev class for Banach valued functions. We compare the usual definition via weak derivatives with Reshetnyak–Sobolev space and Newtonian space; in particular, we provide sufficient conditions when all three agree. Also, revise difference quotient criterion property of Lipschitz mapping preserve it acting as superposition operator.

The aim of the paper is to characterize the trace space of vector-valued Sobolev spaces W p (R , E) , where E is an arbitrary Banach space. In particular, we do not assume that the underlying Banach space E has the UMD property. Vector-valued Sobolev and Besov spaces are widely used in abstract evolution equations, cf. e.g. Amann [1, 2, 4], Veraar and Weis [57] or Denk, Hieber, Prüss, Saal, and...

In recent years, Fourier multiplier theorems in vector–valued function spaces have found many applications in embedding theorems of abstract function spaces and in theory of differential operator equations, especially in maximal regularity of parabolic and elliptic differential–operator equations. Operator–valued multiplier theorems in Banach–valued function spaces have been discussed extensive...
