This article outlines the preliminary results of fieldwork carried out by Sikait Project, in 2020 and 2021 seasons, Smaragdos area (Egyptian Eastern Desert). Our work is focused on study beryl/emerald mining Roman Late Antique periods, from a diachronic perspective. By end season, some 150 mines had been identified. The total so far delimited zones about 100,000 m².
