— We give a short proof of a conjecture of Lubin concerning certain families of p-adic power series that commute under composition. We prove that if the family is full (large enough), there exists a Lubin-Tate formal group such that all the power series in the family are endomorphisms of this group. A split complete weight enumerator in six variables is used to study the 3-colored designs held by codewords of xed composition in Type III codes containing the all-one codeword. In particular the ternary Golay code contains 3-colored 3-designs. We conjecture that every weight class in a Type III code with the all-one codeword holds 3-colored 3-designs.

Using obstruction bundles, composition law and localization formula, we compute certain 3-point genus-0 Gromov-Witten invariants of the Hilbert scheme of 3-points on the complex projective plane. Our results partially verify Ruan’s conjecture about quantum corrections for this Hilbert scheme.
