Network-on-Chip (NoC) is the interconnection platform that answers the requirements of the modern on-Chip design. Small optimizations in NoC router architecture can show a significant improvement in the overall performance of NoC based systems. Power consumption, area overhead and the entire NoC performance is influenced by the router crossbar switch. This paper presents implementation of 10x10...

Microscopy is very important in research and industry, yet traditional optical microscopy suffers from the limited field-of-view (FOV) depth-of-field (DOF) high-resolution imaging. We demonstrate a simultaneous large FOV DOF microscope imaging technology based on chip-scale metalens device that implemented by SiNx array with co- cross-polarization multiplexed dual-phase design dispersive spectr...

AIM The aim of the present randomized, double blind, parallel, 2-arm clinical study was to examine the safety and efficacy of frequent applications of chlorhexidine chip (CHX) and flurbiprofen chip (FBP) in patients with chronic periodontitis. METHODS Sixty patients were randomized into CHX and FBP groups. Following OHI and scaling and root planing (SRP), baseline pocket depth (PD) measuremen...

Coupling chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) with recently developed massively parallel sequencing technologies has enabled genome-wide detection of protein-DNA interactions with unprecedented sensitivity and specificity. This new technology, ChIP-Seq, presents opportunities for in-depth analysis of transcription regulation. In this study, we explore the value of using ChIP-Seq data to better ...

In this paper, an imaging chip for acquiring range information using by 0.35 μm CMOS technology and 5V power supply has been described. The system can extract range information without any mechanical movement and all the signal processing is done on the chip. All of the image sensors and mixed-signal processors are integrated in the chip. The design range is 1.5m-10m with 18 scales.

We propose an efficient optical coupler between a submicrometer-sized silicon waveguide on a silicon photonic chip and a multi-micrometer wide polymer waveguide on an optical printed circuit board for interchip optical networks. We show low coupling loss <0.4 dB with high lateral and angular tolerance to misalignment so that coupling can be done by automatic pick-and-place equipments with high ...

This paper presents a study of performance optimization of dense matrix multiplication on IBM Cyclops-64(C64) chip architecture. Although much has been published on how to optimize dense matrix applications on shared memory architecture with multi-level caches, little has been reported on the applicability of the existing methods to the new generation of multi-core architectures like C64. For s...

The finite element modeling and experimental validation of 3D turning of grade two commercially pure titanium are presented. The Third Wave AdvantEdge machining simulation software is applied for the finite element modeling. Machining experiments are conducted. The measured cutting forces and chip thickness are compared to finite element modeling results with good agreement. The effects of cutt...

The genetic features of isolated populations can boost power in complex-trait association studies, and an in-depth understanding of how their genetic variation has been shaped by their demographic history can help leverage these advantageous characteristics. Here, we perform a comprehensive investigation using 3,059 newly generated low-depth whole-genome sequences from eight European isolates a...
