Even if lumbar disc-herniation (LDH)-surgery is rather common, there little knowledge on future sick leave. The aim of this study was to explore risk factors for having many sick-leave days following surgery.

There have only been a few randomized controlled trials of surgical treatment of chronic low back pain caused by degenerative disc disease.
