Oscillation properties of solutions of the forced second order linear difference equation ∆(rk∆xk) + ckxk+1 = hk are investigated. The authors show that if the forcing term h does not oscillate, in some sense, too rapidly, then the oscillation of the unforced equation implies oscillation of the forced equation. Some results illustrating this statement and extensions to the more general half-lin...
In this work, some general forms for forced and damped complex Duffing oscillators (FDCDOs), including two different models, which are known as the oscillator (I) (FDCDO (I)) FDCDO (II), investigated by using effective analytical numerical approaches. For approximation, models of FDCDOs reduced to decoupled standard (FDDOs). After that, both ansatz method Krylov–Bogoliubov–Mitropolsky (KBM) app...
In this paper, by defining a class of functions, we establish some oscillation criteria for the second order nonlinear dynamic equations with forced term x (t) + a(t)f(x(q(t))) = e(t) on a time scale T. Our results unify the oscillation of the second order forced differential equation and the second order forced difference equation. An example is considered to illustrate the main results.
INTRODUCTION In an increasingly old society, the study of the respiratory system changes and new techniques dedicated to older patients are of interest in physiologic studies as well as in the diagnosis of respiratory diseases. OBJECTIVES (1) To investigate the impact of ageing on the resistive and reactive properties of the respiratory system, and (2) to compare the easiness of accomplishmen...
In this investigation, two different models for coupled asymmetrical oscillators, known as, forced damped Duffing oscillators (FDDOs) are reported. The first model of FDDOs consists a nonlinear oscillator (FDDO) with linear oscillator, while the second is composed FDDOs. Krylov–Bogoliubov–Mitropolsky (KBM) method, carried out analyzing any model. To do that, reduced to decoupled system individu...
The forced oscillation technique (FOT) is a noninvasive method with which to measure respiratory mechanics. FOT employs small-amplitude pressure oscillations superimposed on the normal breathing and therefore has the advantage over conventional lung function techniques that it does not require the performance of respiratory manoeuvres. The present European Respiratory Society Task Force Report ...
Oscillations in a power system can be categorized into free oscillations and forced oscillations. Many algorithms have been developed to estimate the modes of free oscillations in a power system. Recently, forced oscillations caught many attentions. Techniques are proposed to detect forced oscillations and locate their sources. In addition, forced oscillations may have negative impact on the es...
