In many epidemiological studies, disease occurrences and their rates are naturally modelled by counting processes and their intensities, allowing an analysis based on martingale methods. Applied to the Mantel–Haenszel estimator, these methods lend themselves to the analysis of general control selection sampling designs and the accommodation of time-varying exposures.
S Three new test statistics are introduced for correlated categorical data in strati ed R C tables. They are similar in form to the standard generalized Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel statistics but modi ed to handle correlated outcomes. Two of these statistics are asymptotically valid in both many-strata (sparse data) and large-strata limiting models. The third one is designed speci cally for the man...
background : skin cancer is the most common malignancy in the world. thus, the aim of this study was to determine the incidence trend of skin cancer in isfahan province, iran. methods: the present cross-sectional study was conducted using data registered during 2004-2008 in the disease management center and cancer registry system of the ministry of health and medical education. the trend of ski...
In this study the Mantel-Haenszel procedure, widely used in studies for identifying differential item functioning, is proposed as an alternative to the delta-plot method and applied in a test-equating context for flagging common items that behave differentially across cohorts of examinees. The Mantel-Haenszel procedure has the advantage of conditioning on ability when making comparisons of perf...
The Conditional Reasoning Test for Aggression (CRT-A; James et al., 2005) is based on the ideas that aggressive individuals use motive-based cognitive biases to see their behavior as reasonable and that those biases can be measured with specially designed inductive reasoning tasks. The test has shown promising psychometric characteristics for U. S. samples but has not been validated in other cu...
This Monte Carlo study assessed Type I error in differential item functioning analyses using Lord’s chi-square (LC), Likelihood Ratio Test (LRT), and Mantel-Haenszel (MH) procedure. Two research interests were investigated: response theory (IRT) model specification LC the LRT continuity correction MH enhances literature by investigating correct incorrect model-data fit comparing those results t...
Non-interventional prospective study of all patients in our hospital who were admitted for GI bleeding while on anticoagulation 2022. The primary outcomes events, thrombotic events and mortality within 90 days. We ran a logistic regression analysis to assess correlation between resumption outcomes. Mantel-Haenszel outcomes, various scores determine safe timing patient population.
