We provide an explicit bijection between the ad-nilpotent ideals of a Borel subalgebra of a simple Lie algebra g and the orbits of Q̌/(h + 1)Q̌ under the Weyl group (Q̌ being the coroot lattice and h the Coxeter number of g). We show that the degree of a graded lattice ideal of dimension 1 is the order of the torsion subgroup of the quotient group of the lattice. This gives an efficient method to compute the degree of this type of lattice ideals.
