A 19 year old man presented with fever and left pleural effusion. Biopsy of a subcutaneous nodule and bone marrow led to the diagnosis of idiopathic lobular panniculitis (Weber-Christian disease). We report a case of disseminated cutaneous Mycobacterium chelonae infection. A patient with dermatomyositis associated with malignancy presented with features of panniculitis.
