We explore the potential of electron-photon colliders to measure fundamental supersymmetry parameters via the processes ee ! ~ e~ 0 (selectron-neutralino) and ee ! ~ ~ ? (sneutrino-chargino). Given the ~ 0 and ~ ? masses from e + e ? and hadron collider studies, cross section ratios (?)==(+) for opposite photon helicities determine the ~ L , ~ e L and ~ e R masses, independent of the sparticle ...

We review the lastest results on photon production at the LHC by the ATLAS and CMS experiments obtained in proton-proton collisions with a center of mass energy of 7 TeV in 2010 and 2011, corresponding to a maximum integrated luminosity of 5 fb−1. We compare the prompt photon and photon-jet differential cross sections to theoretical predictions and discuss their impact on the parton distributio...

Photon energy spectra up to the kinematic limit have been measured in 190 MeV proton reactions with light and heavy nuclei to investigate the influence of the multiple-scattering process on the photon production. Relative to the predictions of models based on a quasifree production mechanism, a strong suppression of bremsstrahlung is observed in the low-energy region of the photon spectrum. We ...

We calculate total and differential cross sections for sfermion production in e+e− annihilation and in photon-photon collisions with arbitrary photon polarization. The total cross section at a polarized photon collider is shown to be larger than the e+e− annihilation cross section up to the kinematic limit of the photon collider.

In the study of high energy collisions involving hadrons, events in which isolated high-energy photons (often referred to as prompt photons if originating from quarks) are observed provide a direct probe of the underlying parton process, since the emission of these photons is unaffected by parton hadronisation. Isolated high-energy photon production has been studied in hadronic collisions[2] an...
