In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a common fixed point in symmetric generalized intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces using property (E.A.) or CLRg property. We introduce new notion for pair mappings (f, g) on space called weakly commuting type (Jf ) R-weakly ).

The aim of this paper is to obtain a common fixed point theorem in an intuitionistic fuzzy metric space for pointwise R-weakly commuting mappings using contractive condition of integral type and to establish a situation in which a collection of maps has a fixed point which is a point of discontinuity.

Sufficient conditions for the existence of a common fixed point for uniformly Cq− commuting mappings satisfying a generalized contractive conditions in the framework of a convex metric space are obtained. As an application, related results on best approximation are derived. Our results generalize various known results in the literature.
