Iminodiacetic acid (IDA) is dicarboxylic acid amine, which may produce stronger interaction with polar or charged compounds than bidentate α,β-amino acid. In this article, a novel type of tridentate zwitterionic HILIC stationary phase was prepared by covalently bonding N-benzyl IDA on silica gel via copper(I) catalyzed Huisgen azide-alkyne 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition (CuAAC). The structure of thi...
The development of RGD-based antagonist of αvβ3 integrin receptor has enhanced the interest in PET probes to image this receptor for the early detection of cancer, to monitor the disease progression and the response to therapy. In this work, a novel prosthetic group (N-(4-fluorophenyl)pent-4-ynamide or FPPA) for the (18)F-labeling of an αvβ3 selective RGD-peptide was successfully prepared. [(18...
[reaction: see text] Several water-soluble calix[4]arenes were synthesized via Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition between azides and alkynes. Cationic, anionic, and nonionic calixarenes were prepared from a common azidocalixarene intermediate. Azidocalixarenes performed better than alkynylcalixarenes as precursors. The aggregation behavior of the water-soluble calixarenes was studied by (1)H NMR...
A new, ligand- and solvent-free method for the Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition (click reaction) was developed using a planetary ball mill. Besides various alkynes and azides, a propargyl functionalized polymer was converted by mill clicking. Moreover, it was possible to carry out a click polymerization in a ball mill.
Herein we describe the synthesis of the first Thalidomide-biotin analogue in order to initiate investigations into the unknown molecular mode of action of Thalidomide. In this manner we describe the attachment of biotin tether through the Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition or "click" synthetic methodology.
The Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of organic azides and alkynes has gained considerable attention in recent years due to the introduction in 2001 of Cu(1) catalysis by Tornøe and Meldal, leading to a major improvement in both rate and regioselectivity of the reaction, as realized independently by the Meldal and the Sharpless laboratories. The great success of the Cu(1) catalyzed re...
A new class of redox active hydrogels composed of poly(ferrocenylsilane) polyanion and poly(ethylene glycol) chains was assembled, using a copper-free azide-alkyne Huisgen cycloaddition reaction. These organometallic hydrogels displayed reversible collapse and reswelling upon chemical oxidation and reduction, respectively, and formed relatively well-defined, unaggregated Pd(0) nanoparticles (8....
