We study the low energy regime of the scattering of two fermionic particles carrying isospin 1/2 and interacting through a non-Abelian Chern-Simons field. We calculate the one-loop scattering amplitude for both the nonrela-tivistic and also for the relativistic theory. In the relativistic case we introduce an intermediate cutoff, separating the regions with low and high loop momenta integration...

Relativistic effects in the thermodynamical properties of interacting particle systems are investigated within the framework of the relativistic direct interaction theory in various forms of dynamics. In the front form of relativistic dynamics an exactly solvable model of a one-dimensional hard spheres gas is formulated and an equation of state and thermodynamical potentials for such a gas are ...

We present a theoretical framework which describes multiply charged atomic ions, their stability within super-intense laser fields, and also lay corrections to the systems due to relativistic effects. Dimensional scaling calculations with relativistic corrections for systems: H, H(-), H(2 -), He, He(-), He(2 -), He(3 -) within super-intense laser fields were completed. Also completed were three...

Parity and time invariance violating (P, T-odd) nuclear forces produce P, T-odd nuclear moments. In turn, these moments can induce electric dipole moments (EDMs) in atoms through the mixing of electron wavefunctions of opposite parity. The nuclear EDM is screened by atomic electrons. The EDM of an atom with closed electron subshells is induced by the nuclear Schiff moment. Previously the intera...

A new method for relativistically corrected nuclear magnetic resonance ~NMR! chemical shifts is developed by combining the individual gauge for the localized orbital approach for density functional theory with the normalized elimination of a small component using an effective potential. The new method is used for the calculation of the NMR chemical shifts of Mo and W in various molybdenum and t...

The tt̄ system allows a truly perturbative treatment of the potential. Completing previous computations, we calculate the contributions of QCD box graph corrections, which make the “relativistic” O(α4) corrections in the non-Abelian case differ from the well known corrections of the same order in QED. We study the nonrelativistic limit of the quantum theory of a Chern-Simons field minimally coupled to a scalar field with quartic self-interaction. The renormalization of the relativistic model, in the Coulomb gauge, is discussed. We employ a procedure to calculate scattering amplitudes for low momenta that generates their |p|/m expansion and separates the contributions coming from high and low...

The linear response within the elimination of the small component formalism is aimed at obtaining the leading order relativistic corrections to magnetic molecular properties in the context of the elimination of the small component approximation. In the present work we extend the method in order to include two-body effects in the form of a mean field one-body operator. To this end we consider th...

Auger dominant metastable states in the antiprotonic helium atoms are studied by using the Complex Coordinate Rotation method. Relativistic corrections for the bound electron related to the Breit interaction have been calculated using CCR wave functions. Higher order relativistic and QED effects have been included into consideration to get precise theoretical values for transition frequencies.
