We demonstrate high dynamic range (HDR) imaging with the Plenoptic 2.0 camera. Multiple exposure capture is achieved with a single shot using microimages created by microlens array that has an interleaved set of different apertures. © 2009 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: (040.1490) Cameras, 110.5200 Photography.

Gazu copper deposit is located in the boundary of Tabas and Lut block, 65km southeast of Tabas and 15km southwest of Deyhouk. The dominant lithology in the area consists of Shotori dolomite and limestone and Shemshak shale and sandstone.  Intrusive rocks with intermediate composition are widespread and numerous in the area. They consist of diorite, monzonite, and quartz monzonite to granite. Mi...

The main results of this paper are generalizations of classical results from the numerical range to the block numerical range. A different and simpler proof for the Perron-Frobenius theory on the block numerical range of an irreducible nonnegative matrix is given. In addition, the Wielandt's lemma and the Ky Fan's theorem on the block numerical range are extended.

A method for capturing high intensity dynamic range scenes with a low dynamic range camera consists in taking a series of images with di erent exposure settings and combining these into a single high dynamic range image. The combined image values are found by weighted averaging of values from the di erently exposed images on a per-pixel basis. This paper reviews existing weighting schemes and c...

In this paper, we present a practical system for enhancing the quality of Low Dynamic Range (LDR) videos using High Dynamic Range (HDR) background images. Our technique relies on the assumption that the HDR information is static in the video footage. This assumption can be valid in many scenarios where moving subjects are the main focus of the footage and do not have to interact with moving lig...

It is commonly accepted1 that the dynamic range (DR) of an image, i.e. the image color definition, is equal to the image maximum signal-to-noise ratio (max SNR). We also know that the maximum amount of image information is given by the product of resolution (cross-image definition) and color definition. Therefore, increasing the DR of images is by no mean less important than increasing their re...

In order to display images of high dynamic range (HDR), tone reproduction operators are usually applied that reduce the dynamic range to that of the display device. Generally, parameters need to be adjusted for each new image to achieve good results. Consistent tone reproduction across different images is therefore difficult to achieve, which is especially true for global operators and to some ...
