The recent explosion of interest in wireless personal communication systems motivates the development of fully integrated radio receivers. The parallel reduction of the feature sizes in CMOS technology, and hence higher levels of integration. enable the combined integration of a bandpass or baseband analog-to-digital converter with the traditional front-end receiver building blocks. While ths t...

One of the key limitations of state-of-the-art fine linewidth CMOS technologies is the restricted power-supply voltage, limited by the low junction-breakdown voltage of the process and by the thin gate oxide, prone to voltage stress and breakdown. Also, in some applications, the available external power source may limit the supply voltage; for example, this source may be a 1.2 V battery, with a...

Ahtroct-Switched-capacitor networks have become very attractive for the MOS/LSI realization of analog sampled-data filters. The work presented in this paper shows that the I/p transformation where p = (1 -z -‘)/T can be performed for such filters similarly to.Bruton’s l/s transformation for analog continuous networks. An analog sampled-data filter based on this principle has been designed and i...

The use of Switched-Capacitor techniques to build a fuzzy controller is discussed in this contribution. Using a sequential architecture, the required building blocks are introduced and its realization is described. The proposed system can be considered as a starting point for exploring the future capabilities offered by SC networks to the hardware implementations of fuzzy systems.

This paper develops an analytical model for a standard topology, fully differential, switched capacitor amplifier; including the base amplifier offset voltage and common mode range, and capacitor mismatch effects. The amplifier is designed in a 0.6 μm process and the analytical model accuracy is compared with the simulation results.

Version 2c, 3 October 2004 It is well known that dielectric absorption plays a critical role in determining the accuracy of analog sampled-data systems that are based on charge storage, such as sampleand-holds and switched-capacitor ADCs. Less appreciated, but no less important, is the role it plays in determining the quality factor, or Q, of the capacitor. Dielectric absorption has both storag...
