A tracheoesophageal fistula was successfully closed with a fibrin adhesive applied by means of a fiberoptic bronchoscope, instead of by esophagoscopy. To facilitate closure of the fistula, the technique was combined with decontamination of the oral cavity, to avoid bacterial contamination.
