We prove that a certain two point BVP with jumping nonlinearities has a solution. Our result generalizes that of [2]. We use variational methods which permit giving a minimax characterization of the solution. Our proof exposes the similarities between the variational behavior of this problem and that of other semilinear problems with noninvertible linear part (see [5]).

In this work the collocation method based on quartic B-spline is developed and applied to two-point boundary value problem in ordinary diferential equations. The error analysis and convergence of presented method is discussed. The method illustrated by two test examples which verify that the presented method is applicable and considerable accurate.

this study concerns the existence and multiplicity of positive weak solutions for a class ofsemilinear elliptic systems with nonlinear boundary conditions. our results is depending onthe local minimization method on the nehari manifold and some variational techniques. alsoby using mountain pass lemma, we establish the existence of at least one solution withpositive energy.

This paper presents conditions for the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for a boundary value problem of a nonlinear fractional differential equation. We show that it has at least one or two positive solutions. The main tool is Krasnosel'skii fixed point theorem on cone and fixed point index theory.
