INTRODUCTION The concept of fuzzy sets introduced by Zadeh [19], was the foundation of fuzzy metric space. Fuzzy metric spaces have been introduced by Kramosil and Michalek [8] and George and Veeramani [3] modified the notion of fuzzy metric spaces with the help of continuous tnorm. Recently many authors such as [4], [7], [14] and [15] have proved fixed point theorems involving fuzzy sets. Bouh...
The linear discrepancy of a poset P is the least k such that there is a linear extension L of P such that if x and y are incomparable, then |hL(x)− hL(y)| ≤ k. Whereas the weak discrepancy is the least k such that there is a weak extension W of P such that if x and y are incomparable, then |hW (x)− hW (y)| ≤ k. This paper resolves a question of Tanenbaum, Trenk, and Fishburn on characterizing w...
In this paper, we mainly prove a coincidence theorem and common fixed point theorem in M-fuzzy metric spaces which improve the results of Som [11] who proved his results on Metric and Banach spaces. Also we improve and extend some known results of Veerapandi et al. [12] by extending three mappings to four weak compatible mappings. Mathematics Subject Classification: 47H10, 54H25.
We study computability on sequence spaces, as they are used in functional analysis. It is known that non-separable normed spaces cannot be admissibly represented on Turing machines. We prove that under the Axiom of Choice non-separable normed spaces cannot even be admissibly represented with respect to any compatible topology (a compatible topology is one which makes all bounded linear function...
Abstract In Jayanti and Trivisa (2022 J. Math. Fluid Mech. 24 46), the authors proved existence of local-in-time weak solutions to a model superfluidity. The system governing equations was derived in Pitaevskii (1959 Sov. Phys. JETP 8 282–287) couples nonlinear Schrödinger equation Navier–Stokes equations. this article, we prove weak–strong type uniqueness theorem for these solutions. Only some...
In this paper, we prove some xed point theorems for two hybrid pairs of mappings in 2-metric spaces by using some weaker conditions. Mathematics subject classi cation: 47H10, 54H25. Key words and phrases: Coincidence point, common xed point, compatible maps, weak commutativity of type (KB) :
A new criterion for termination of rewriting has been described by Arts and Giesl in 1997. We show how this criterion can be generalized to rewriting modulo associativity and commutativity. We also show how one can build weak AC-compatible reduction orderings which may be used in this criterion.
We investigate the sensitivity of some weak processes to the simplest extension of the Standard Model with Majorana neutrinos mixing in the leptonic sector. Values for mixing angles and masses compatible with several experimental accelerator data and the most recent neutrinoless double-β decay limit were found. A new air-stable nickel precatalyst for C-N cross-coupling is reported. The developed catalyst system displays a greatly improved substrate scope for C-N bond formation to include both a wide range of aryl and heteroaryl electrophiles and aryl, heteroaryl, and alkylamines. The catalyst system is also compatible with a weak base, allowing the amination of substrates containing base-sensitive fun...
We study a principle of ’Non-Interference’ in social welfare judgements. NonInterference captures aspects of liberal approaches (particularly aMillian approach) to social decision making. In its full generality, Non-Interference produces an impossibility result: together with Weak Pareto Optimality, it implies that a social welfare ordering must be dictatorial. However, interesting restricted v...
