Almost nothing decisive has been said about collocation methods for solving SPDEs. Among the best of such SPDEs the Burgers equation shows a prototypical model for describing the interaction between the reaction mechanism, convection effect, and diffusion transport. This paper discusses spectral collocation method to reduce stochastic Burgers equation to a system of stochastic ordinary differen...

We investigate generalizations of the Burgers and Burgers-Huxley equations. The investigations we offer focus attention mainly on presenting explict analytical solutions by means of relating these generalized equations to relativistic 1 + 1 dimensional systems of scalar fields where topological solutions are known to play a role. Emphasis is given on chiral solutions, that is, on the possibilit...

Higher-order accurate finite-difference schemes for solving the unsteady Burgers’ equation which often arises in mathematical modeling used to solve problems in fluid dynamics are presented. The unsteady Burgers’ equation belongs to a few nonlinear partial differential equations which has an exact solution, and it allows one to compare the numerical solution with the exact one, and the properti...

A generalization of the Hopf–Cole transformation and its relation to the Burgers equation of integer order and the diffusion equation with quadratic nonlinearity are discussed. The explicit form of a particular analytical solution is presented. The existence of the travelling wave solution and the interaction of nonlocal perturbation are considered. The nonlocal generalizations of the one-dimen...

The main objective of this article is to analyse the dynamics of Burgers equation on the unit interval, driven by affine linear white noise. It is shown that the solution field of the stochastic Burgers equation generates a smooth perfect and locally compacting cocycle on the energy space L2([0, 1],R). Using multiplicative ergodic theory techniques, we establish the existence of a discrete non-...

In this paper, we present a new method for solving Reproducing Kernel Space (RKS) theory, and iterative algorithm for solving Generalized Burgers Equation (GBE) is presented. The analytical solution is shown in a series in a RKS, and the approximate solution u(x,t) is constructed by truncating the series. The convergence of u(x,t) to the analytical solution is also proved.

This paper presents a new method for solving higher order nonlinear evolution partial differential equations (NPDEs). The method combines quasilinearisation, the Chebyshev spectral collocation method, and bivariate Lagrange interpolation. In this paper, we use the method to solve several nonlinear evolution equations, such as the modified KdV-Burgers equation, highly nonlinear modified KdV equa...

Abstract In this article, we obtain explicit solutions of a linear PDE subject to a class of radial square integrable functions with a monotonically increasing weight function |x|e 2/2, β ≥ 0, x ∈ R. This linear PDE is obtained from a system of forced Burgers equation via the Cole-Hopf transformation. For any spatial dimension n > 1, the solution is expressed in terms of a family of weighted ge...

We investigate the non-perturbative results of multi-dimensional forced Burgers equation coupled to the continuity equation. In the inviscid limit, we derive the exact exponents of two-point density correlation functions in the universal region in arbitrary dimensions. We then find the universal generating function and the tails of the probability density function (PDF) for the longitudinal vel...

In this paper, we aim to generalize semi-Lagrangian finite difference schemes for a system of two-dimensional (2D) Burgers' equations. Our scheme is not limited by the Courant-Friedrichs-Lewy (CFL) condition and therefore we can apply larger step size for the time variable. Proposed schemes can be implemented in parallel very well and in fact, it is a local one-dimensional (LOD) scheme which o...
