Title of Thesis: On Random Additive Perturbation for Privacy Preserving Data Mining Author: Souptik Datta, Master of Science, 2004 Thesis directed by: Dr. Hillol Kargupta, Associate Professor Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Privacy is becoming an increasingly important issue in many data mining applications. This has triggered the development of many privacy-preserving...
We study multilocus polymorphism under selection, using a class of fitness functions that account for additive, dominant, and pairwise additive-by-additive epistatic interactions. The dynamic equations are derived in terms of allele frequencies and disequilibria, using the notions of marginal systems and marginal fitnesses, without any approximations. Stationary values of allele frequencies and...
Truncated singular value decomposition is a reduced version of the in which only few largest values are retained. This paper presents novel perturbation analysis for truncated real matrices. First, we describe expansions truncation order r . We extend results subspace to derive first-order expansion operator about matrix with rank greater than or equal Observing that can be greatly simplified w...
We analyse the data for the proton structure function F2 over the entire Q 2 domain, including especially low Q 2 , in terms of perturbative and non-perturbative QCD contributions. The small distance configurations are given by perturbative QCD, while the large distance contributions are given by the vector dominance model and, for the higher mass qq states, by the additive quark approach.
In this paper, we discuss the perturbation analysis of extended vertical linear complementarity problem (EVLCP). Under assumption row $${\mathcal {W}}$$ -property, derive several absolute and relative bounds EVLCP, which extend some existing results. Several numerical examples are given to show proposed bounds.
This paper considers a class of linear uncertain systems in which the uncertainty is an additive perturbation of a known (nominal) linear model. It is supposed that the uncertainty and/or disturbance is known to be bounded, but its bound is unkown. A novel, easy to implement, adaptive feedback control law is designed to estimate the bounded disturbance on-line. This information is then used to ...
