Recent advances in wearable bioelectronics have driven various healthcare applications, such as the monitoring, sensing, and treating of diseases. However, unsustainable batteries toxic power solutions hinder their use at skin interface or vivo. As a promising solution, supercapacitors attracted attention researchers. there are still several drawbacks, transparency, stretchability, biocompatibi...
Atomic layer deposition (ALD) has been used in advanced applications where thin layers of materials with precise thickness down to the nanometer scale are needed. Using anodic oxidation, we prepared the porous alumina. Anodic oxidation was carried out in 5 C 0.3M oxalic acid with anodizing voltages (~ 40 V) and two step anodization method. SEM shows that, these porous anodic oxides are well ali...
Confined conversion of CuS nanowires to CuO nanotubes by annealing-induced diffusion in nanochannels
Copper oxide (CuO) nanotubes were successfully converted from CuS nanowires embedded in anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) template by annealing-induced diffusion in a confined tube-type space. The spreading of CuO and formation of CuO layer on the nanochannel surface of AAO, and the confinement offered by AAO nanochannels play a key role in the formation of CuO nanotubes.
Since the ancient Egyptians had used sand as filter media for water purification, its principle has been inherited through generations and it is still being used now in industries. The sand filter consists of sand literally, and the voids within the sand bed are the pores for filtration. Here we present a filtration principle using nanoparticles, so that the voids between the nanoparticles can ...
In this study, the cyclic voltammetry method was first used to find the reduced voltages and anodic peaks of Bi3+, Sb3+, and Te4+ ions as the judgments for the growth of the (Bi,Sb)2 - x Te3 + x-based materials. Ethylene glycol (C2H6O2) was used as a solvent, and 0.3 M potassium iodide (KI) was used to improve the conductivity of the solution. Two different electrolyte formulas were first used:...
A new anodization method for the preparation of nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) with pattern-addressed pore structure was developed. The approach is based on pulse anodization of aluminum employing a series of potential waves that consist of two or more different pulses with designated periods and amplitudes, and provides unique tailoring capability of the internal pore structure of anod...
Based on the porous anodic aluminum oxide templates, ordered SnOx nanopore films (approximately 150 nm thickness) with different x (x ≈ 0.87, 1.45, 2) have been successfully fabricated by direct current magnetron sputtering and oxidizing annealing. Due to the high specific surface area, this ordered nanopore films exhibit a great improvement in recovery time compared to thin films for ultraviol...
The effects of anodizing condition and post treatment on the growth of nickel nanowires, were investigated. A two-step anodizing process was applied in phosphoric and oxalic acid solution. Nickel electrochemical plating was applied to fill Anodic Aluminum Oxide (AAO) pores. For pore filling enhancement, AAO surfaces were treated by silver predeposition. After electroplating, aluminum and oxide ...
Herein, we studied the impact of surface roughness on molecular dynamics a series phenyl-terminated monohydroxyalcohols under spatial confinement provided by nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) membranes constant (const-AAO) and modulated (modul-AAO) pore diameter using Broadband Dielectric Spectroscopy Differential Scanning Calorimetry. Interestingly, observed that both types AAO affect beh...
