Iridium-catalyzed asymmetric allylic amination of allylic carbonates with 2-allylanilines was realized. With a catalyst generated from 2 mol% of [Ir(dbcot)Cl](2) (dbcot = dibenzo[a,e]cyclooctatetraene) and 4 mol% of phosphoramidite ligand (L3), the amination products were obtained in up to 99% yield and 99% ee. Subjecting amination products to trifluoroacetyl protection and ring-closing-metathe...

A new Buchwald-type diphosphine ligand has been developed for applications in Pd-catalyzed amination reactions towards the preparation of triarylamines. The catalyst can be used to perform the amination of a diverse array of aryl and heteroaryl chlorides.

In this review, we summarize recent progress from our group with regard to Pd-catalyzed oxidative amination of alkenes with amines. Intermolecular oxidative amination of alkenes with secondary anilines was induced using a palladium-complex catalyst combined with molybdovanadophosphate as a co-catalyst under dioxygen, leading to allylic amines and enamines in good yields with high selectivities....

The amination of alcohols is an important transformation in chemistry. The redox-neutral (i.e., hydrogen-borrowing) asymmetric amination of alcohols is enabled by the combination of an alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) with an amine dehydrogenase (AmDH). In this work, we enhanced the efficiency of hydrogen-borrowing biocatalytic amination by co-immobilizing both dehydrogenases on controlled porosity ...

An asymmetric α-amination of β-keto esters with azodicarboxylate in the presence of a guanidine-bisurea bifunctional organocatalyst was investigated. The α-amination products were obtained in up to 99% yield with up to 94% ee.

D-amino acids are valuable building blocks for the synthesis of biologically active compounds and pharmaceuticals. The asymmetric chiral amino from prochiral ketones using stereoselective enzymes is a well-known but far exhausted approach large-scale production. Herein, we investigated pyridoxal-5′-phosphate-dependent acid transaminase Haliscomenobacter hydrossis as potential biocatalyst enzyma...

Simple and efficient procedures for the Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling of primary and secondary amines with halo-7-azaindoles(pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine) are presented. Previously, no general method was available to ensure the highly selective reaction of the heteroaryl halide in the presence of the unprotected azaindole N-H. Using palladium precatalysts recently reported by our group, such reactions ...

We report both an intermolecular C–H amination of arenes to access N-methylanilines and intramolecular variant for the synthesis tetrahydroquinolines. A newly developed, highly electrophilic aminating reagent was key direct unprotected from simple arenes. The reactions display a broad functional group tolerance employ catalytic amounts benign iron salt under mild reaction conditions.

Two series of carbon dioxide adsorbents were prepared from almond shells, by carbonisation followed either by activation with CO2 or by heat treatment in the presence of ammonia gas (amination). Both procedures gave carbons with high CO2 adsorption capacities in pure CO2 as well as in a binary mixture of 15 % CO2 in N2. Activation with carbon dioxide significantly developed porosity in the samp...
