children and in children with renal disease. More accurate measurement was possible, particularly if a 4-hour specimen was used rather than an overnight 12-hour specimen. However, there are so many variable errors in any method of estimating cell excretion rates, that the method could well be discarded in paediatric practice. Cell concentration in a random urine specimen is easily estimated, a ...

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a complex disease which is correlated with increasing inflammatory factors, demyelination and axonal loss. In this auto-immune disease, Neuroinflammation is mediated by different types of T cells with macrophage/microglial activation and B cells involvement that interact in a collaborative manner. Focal inflammation is the main cause for the onset of relapses and coul...

INTRODUCTION The inverse correlation between prevalence of auto-immune disorders like the chronic neuro-inflammatory disease multiple sclerosis (MS) and the occurrence of helminth (worm) infections, suggests that the helminth-trained immune system is protective against auto-immunity. As monocytes are regarded as crucial players in the pathogenesis of auto-immune diseases, we explored the hypoth...

In this study, we sought to characterize synovial tissue obtained from individuals with arthralgia and disease-specific auto-antibodies patients established rheumatoid arthritis (RA), by applying an integrative multi-omics approach where investigated differences at the level of DNA methylation gene expression in relation disease pathogenesis. We performed concurrent whole-genome bisulphite sequ...
