The structure of block-spin embeddings of the U(1) lattice current algebra is described. For an odd number of lattice sites, the inner realizations of the shift automorphism are classified. We present a particular inner shift operator which admits a factorization involving quantum dilogarithms analogous to the results of Faddeev and Volkov.
The effects of left axis shift (greater than -30 degrees) on intraventricular conduction time (IVCT) were studied in 63 subjects in whom electrocardiograms before and after appearance of the left axis shift were available. Subjects with electrocardiographic evidence of left or right ventricular hypertrophy, left or right bundle branch block, myocardial infarction, pre-excitation and those recei...
MIMO Diversity is the technique which takes the advantage of multipath and mitigates the effect of fading and increases signal strength. Space Time Block code (STBC) is used in Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system to improve the performance by maximizing diversity gain. In this paper Math Works-SIMULINK platform is used for simulation. The performance of MIMO, Space Time Block Code (STB...
This paper introduces the ”block moves” neighborhood for the Multiple Depot Vehicle Scheduling Problem. Experimental studies are carried out on a set of benchmark instances to assess the quality of the proposed neighborhood and to compare it with two existing neighborhoods using shift and swap. The ”block moves” neighborhood can be beneficial for any local search algorithm.
KATAN and KTANTAN are two lightweight families of hardware oriented block ciphers proposed by Cannière et al. at CHES 2009. They have different versions of 32-, 48and 64-bit state, all of which work with an 80-bit key. Inspired by the Trivium stream cipher, these families have an innovative structure based on two non-linear feedback shift registers. Such a structure attracts the attention of cr...
In this paper, we propose a novel technique, called multi-output filtering model, to study the non-randomness property of a cryptographic algorithm such as message authentication codes and block ciphers. A multi-output filtering model consists of a linear feedback shift register (LFSR) and a multi-output filtering function. Our contribution in this paper is twofold. First, we propose an attack ...
This paper investigates the design of S-boxes used for combining linear feedback shift register (LFSR) sequences in combination generators. Such combination generators have higher throughput than those using Boolean functions as the combining functions. However, Sboxes tend to leak more information about the LFSR sequences than Boolean functions. To study the information leakage, the notion of ...
In order to reduce key sizes and bandwidth, several LFSRbased (linear feedback shift register) public key cryptosystems and signature schemes have been proposed. Digital signatures with message recovery are useful for many applications in which small messages (e.g., 100 bits or so) should be signed. This paper first presents a new sequence operation, called DSO, based on existing sequence opera...
Since Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) in stream modes, such as counter (CTR), output feedback (OFB) and cipher feedback (CFB), can meet most industrial requirements, the range of applications for dedicated stream ciphers is decreasing. There are many attack results using algebraic properties and side channel information against stream ciphers for hardware applications. Al-Hinai et al. presen...
Pseudo-random testing is popularly used, particularly in Built-In Self Test (BIST) applications. To achieve a desired fault coverage, pseudo-random patterns are often supplemented with few deterministic patterns. When positions of deterministic patterns in the pseudo-random sequence are known a priori, pseudo-random sub-sequences can be chosen such that they cover these deterministic patterns. ...
