A class of continuous controllers termed Robust Integral of the Signum of the Error (RISE) have been published over the last decade as a means to yield asymptotic convergence of the tracking error for classes of nonlinear systems that are subject to exogenous disturbances and/or modeling uncertainties. The development of this class of controllers relies on a property related to the integral of ...
We study a boundary value problem for a fractional differential inclusion of order α ∈ (1, 2] with non-separated boundary conditions involving a nonconvex set-valued map. We establish a Filippov type existence theorem and we prove the arcwise connectedness of the solution set of the problem considered.
We study a partial differential relation that arises in the context of the Born–Infeld equations (an extension of Maxwell's equations) by using Gromov's method of convex integration in the setting of divergence-free fields.
We prove a Filippov type existence theorem for solutions of a fractional differential inclusion defined by a nonconvex set-valued map with Dirichlet boundary conditions. The method consists in application of the contraction principle in the space of selections of the set-valued map instead of the space of solutions.
A characterization result for equationally deenable classes of certain coalgebras (including basic hidden algebra) shows that a class of coalgebras is deenable by equations if and only if it is closed under coproducts, quotients, sources of morphisms and representative inclusions. The notions of equation and satisfaction are axiomatized in order to include the diierent approaches in the literat...
We consider a nonconvex and nonclosed second order differential inclusion with nonlocal boundary conditions and we prove the arcwise connectedness of the solution set.
This paper deals with the existence and uniqueness of results for a class of hemivariational inequality problem. β1(x,y)+β2(x,y)+ J0(x;y− x) 0. Moreover, we enhance the main results an application to the existence of solution for a differential inclusion.
A general class of adaptive process in games is developed, which significantly generalises weakened fictitious play (Van der Genugten, 2000) and includes several interesting fictitious-play-like processes as special cases. The general model is rigorously analysed using the best response differential inclusion, and shown to converge in games with the fictitious play property. Furthermore, a new ...
