This article presents dynamic data driven simulation as a new simulation paradigm where a simulation system is continually influenced by real time data for better analysis and prediction of a system under study. This is different from traditional simulations that are largely decoupled from real systems by making little usage of real time data. We present a framework of dynamic data driven simul...
Applications of dynamic simulation today span R&D, Design, Operations, and Training. Proper implementation of dynamic simulation can deliver substantial benefits including tighter design, reduced project cycle time, smoother start-ups and optimized production. Because many of the existing dynamic simulation tools are time-consuming and difficult to use, these benefits are often not fully achiev...
We introduce a promising new approach to dynamic simulation called impulse based simulation The dis tinguishing feature of this method is the uni cation of all types of contact colliding rolling sliding and resting under a single framework non colliding con tacts are simulated as a series of tiny microcollisions The approach is simpler and more robust than previous constraint based methods Simu...
In this research, numerical simulation of a symmetric impact of a 2-D wedge, considering dynamic equations in two-phase flow is taken into account. The two-phase flow around the wedge is solved based on finite volume method and volume of fluid (VOF) scheme. The dynamic mesh model is used to simulate dynamic motion of the wedge, thereby the effects of different dynamic meshes in both structured ...
This paper demonstrates a model{chain that is able to determine environmental impacts of traac. The dynamic microsimulation models described cover the problems of traac assignment and calculation of emissions by microscopic vehicle states. Due to their computational eeciency the model{chain promises to be applicable even for large networks with millions of drivers. First results will be presented.
Because of random nature of many dependent variables in coastal engineering, treatment of effective parameters is generally associated with uncertainty. Numerical models are often used for dynamic analysis of complex structures, including mechanical systems. Furthermore, deterministic models are not sufficient for exact anticipation of structure’s dynamic response, but probabilistic models...
