In this paper, a new virtual leader following consensus protocol is introduced to perform the internal and string stability analysis of longitudinal platoon of vehicles under generic network topology. In all previous studies on multi-agent systems with generic network topology, the control parameters are strictly dependent on eigenvalues of network matrices (adjacency or Laplacian). Since some ...

We extend the analysis of absorbtion of eigenvalues for the two body case to situations where absorbtion occurs at a two cluster threshold in an JV-body system. The result depends on a Birman-Schwinger kernel for such an AT-body system, an object which we apply in other ways. In particular, we control the number of discrete eigenvalues in the h -> 0 limit.

‎let $g$ be a graph without an isolated vertex‎, ‎the normalized laplacian matrix $tilde{mathcal{l}}(g)$‎‎is defined as $tilde{mathcal{l}}(g)=mathcal{d}^{-frac{1}{2}}mathcal{l}(g) mathcal{d}^{-frac{1}{2}}$‎, where ‎$‎mathcal{‎d}‎$ ‎is a‎ diagonal matrix whose entries are degree of ‎vertices ‎‎of ‎$‎g‎$‎‎. ‎the eigenvalues of‎‎$tilde{mathcal{l}}(g)$ are ‎called ‎ ‎ as ‎the ‎normalized laplacian ...

The empirical distribution of the eigenvalues of the matrix XX(T) divided by its trace is evaluated, where X is a random Hankel matrix. The distribution of eigenvalues for symmetric and nonsymmetric distributions is assessed with various criteria. This yields several important properties with broad application, particularly for noise reduction and filtering in signal processing and time series ...

The analysis of a number of physical phenomena requires the solution of an eigenproblem. It is therefore natural that with the increased use of computational methods operating on discrete representations of physical problems the development of efficient algorithms for the calculation of eigenvalues and eigenvectors has attracted much attention [l]-[8]. In particular, the use of finite element a...

The nonperturbative nature of nucleon-nucleon interactions evolved to low momentum has recently been investigated in free space and at finite density using Weinberg eigenvalues as a diagnostic. This analysis is extended here to the in-medium eigenvalues near the Fermi surface to study pairing. For a fixed value of density and cutoff, the eigenvalues increase arbitrarily in magnitude close to th...

Stability analysis of linear circuits and systems under interval parameters uncertainties can be equated to estimating the eigenvalues of interval matrices. In this paper, the problem of determining outer bounds on the ranges of the eigenvalues of interval matrices with complex eigenvalues, is considered. A method for computing such bounds is suggested. It consist of setting up and solving a sy...

In this paper, we investigate some properties of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of boundary value problems with separated boundary conditions. Also, we obtain formal series solutions for some partial differential equations associated with the second order differential equation, and study necessary and sufficient conditions for the negative and positive eigenvalues of the boundary value problem....

let $g$ be a simple graph with vertex set $v(g) = {v_1, v_2,ldots, v_n}$ and edge set $e(g) = {e_1, e_2,ldots , e_m}$. similar tothe randi'c matrix, here we introduce the randi'c incidence matrixof a graph $g$, denoted by $i_r(g)$, which is defined as the$ntimes m$ matrix whose $(i, j)$-entry is $(d_i)^{-frac{1}{2}}$ if$v_i$ is incident to $e_j$ and $0$ otherwise. naturally, therandi'c incidenc...

The eigenvalues of a nonhermitian Toeplitz matrix A are usually highly sensitive to perturbations, having condition numbers that increase exponentially with the dimension N. An equivalent statement is that the resolvent ( ZZ A)’ of a Toeplitz matrix may be much larger in norm than the eigenvalues alone would suggest-exponentially large as a function of N, even when z is far from the spectrum. B...
