In this paper, we attempt a systematic study of QL-implications. Towards this end, firstly, we investigate the conditions under which a QL-operation becomes a fuzzy implication without imposing any conditions on the underlying operations. Following this, we discuss the conditions underwhich this family satisfies some desirable algebraic properties. Based on the obtained results and existing cha...

The fuzzy measure can highlight important information in analyzing component features, patterns, and trends. However, fuzzy densities and interaction effects are usually unknown or uncertain for implications thus making the fuzzy measure limited in applications. This research proposes an extended fuzzy measure to derive the conditional fuzzy densities from dominance-based rough set approach (DR...

Segmentation has several strategic and tactical implications in marketing products and services. Despite hard clustering methods having several weaknesses, they remain widely applied in marketing studies. Alternative segmentation methods such as fuzzy methods are rarely used to understand consumer behaviour. In this study, we propose a strategy of analysis, by combining the Bagged Clustering (B...

In this paper we present a study on inference in a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC). Many different implication operators have been proposed in the Fuzzy Logic literature; we take into account five of them that have already been used in fuzzy control. In order to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of each implication in practical applications, we consider the controller's defuzzified output ...

Recently, many works have appeared dealing with the distributivity of fuzzy implications over t-norms, tconorms and uninorms (see [2, 3, 4, 5, 12, 13, 14]). These equations have a very important role to play in efficient inferencing in approximate reasoning, especially fuzzy control systems (see [6]). In this work we present some results connected with two functional equations describing the di...

In this work, we solve an open problem related to the exchange principle of fuzzy implications [Problem 3.1, Fuzzy Sets and Systems 261(2015) 112-123]. We show that two important generalizations of the exchange principle, namely, the generalized exchange principle(GEP) and the mutual exchangeability(ME) are sufficient conditions for the solution of the problem. We also show that, under some con...

Special implications were introduced by Hájek and Kohout [Fuzzy implications and generalized quantifiers, Int. J. Uncertain. Fuzziness Knowl.-Based Syst. 4 (1996) 225–233] in their investigations on some statistics on marginals. They have either suggested or only partially answered three important questions, especially related to special implications and residuals of t-norms. In this work we in...

In this study we apply the knowledge of fuzzy sets to group structures and also to decision-making implications. We study fuzzy subgroups of finite abelian groups. We set G = Zpn + Zqm . The classification of fuzzy subgroups of G using equivalence classes is introduced. First, we present equivalence relations on fuzzy subsets of X, and then extend it to the study of equivalence relations of fuz...

abstract purpose of this paper: the objectives of this paper are two folds: (1) utilizing hierarchical fuzzy technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (topsis) approach to evaluate the most suitable rfid-based systems decision, and (2) to highlight key risks and benefits of radio frequency identification technology in healthcare industry. design/methodology/approach: resear...

In the setting of fuzzy choice functions (Georgescu [6]), we explore the relationships among known and new consistency axioms. Then we define the notion of sequential application of fuzzy choice functions, and investigate its normative implications. The Fuzzy Arrow Axiom is preserved by this sequential procedure, which ensures that full-rationality is preserved too.
