We present a case of hypercalcemia in a 79-year-old female likely secondary to uterine leiomyoma. To the best of our knowledge, hypercalcemia due to a benign tumor has only been described in five cases. Of these above five cases, uterine leiomyoma was thought to be the cause of hypercalcemia in three cases.

Patients with diffuse large B cell lymphoma can occasionally develop hypercalcemia but it is rare at the onset of disease. We present a case of an elderly female who presented with refractory hypercalcemia, workup of which led to the diagnosis of B cell lymphoma. We discuss about various etiologies for development of hypercalcemia in a patient with lymphoma or leukemia.

A 65-year-old female with a history of mixed connective tissue disease and pulmonary fibrosis on azathioprine, hydroxychloroquine, and prednisone (osteoporosis on teriparatide) presented with a 1-month history of hypercalcemia. After discontinuation of teriparatide, the patient's hypercalcemia persisted. Further evaluation revealed primary hepatic lymphoma as the source of her hypercalcemia.
