In the present article a numerical procedure is developed for dynamic analysis of single and double autofrettage of thick–walled FG cylinders under transient loading. The governing differential equations are discretized and presented in explicit Lagrangian formalism. The explicit transient solution of discrete equations are obtained on the meshed region and results for stress and strain distrib...

In this paper, we prove existence and uniqueness of the solution to the diiraction problem of a plane electromagnetic eld by a chiral curved layer covering a perfectly conducting object. Approximative impedance conditions are given for thin chiral curved layers and optimal error estimates are obtained.

Non-uniform temperature fields are analyzed, which arise in the problems of formation steady shock wave at impact and ramp loading metals, exit to free surface, passing through interface between two different materials. Theoretical analysis computations show that high-entropy (with increase) low-entropy decrease) layers near interfaces above loading. The produces layer; while can result both hi...

In this tutorial, I present an overview of the techniques that are in use for prestack seismic amplitude analysis, current and historical. I show that these techniques can be classified as being based on the computation and analysis of either some type of seismic reflection coefficient series or seismic impedance. Those techniques that are based on the seismic reflection coefficient series, or ...

The electro-oxidation of formic acid catalyzed by Fe20Pt80 nanoparticles was studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) where the particles were deposited onto a gold electrode surface by the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique at varied film thickness/coverage. It was found that the particle assembly thickness strongly affected the electrocatalytic activit...

It is demonstrated that a Bragg waveguide consisting of a series of dielectric layers may form an excellent optical acceleration structure. Confinement of the accelerating fields is achieved for both planar and cylindrical configurations by adjusting the first dielectric layer width. A typical structure made of Silica and Zirconia may support gradients of the order of 1GV/m with an interaction ...

The quarter-wavelength (hi4) acoustic matching layer is a vital component in medical ultrasonic transducers, which can bridge the large acoustic impedance mismatch between the piezoelectric material and the human body. .At high frequencies (>5OMHz), the hi4 matching layers become extremely thin and the characterization of its properties becomes very challenging. We report a novel method to meas...

A matrix technique for the computation of the perunit-length internal impedance of radially inhomogeneous cylindrical structures is presented. The cylindrical structure is conceptually divided into a number of layers, each layer being characterized by its constitutive parameters, conductivity, permeability, and permittivity. Within this general framework, compound conductors, compound capacitor...

High-temperature gas sensing requires the increase of sensitivity and reduction of cross-sensitivity. The use of TiO2-Nanotubular layers as gas sensors has shown that the selectivity and sensitivity can be influenced by doping with trivalent elements and by optimization of morphological aspects such as pore diameter and nanotube length. In this work, focus has been given on the understanding of...
