The present paper explore out the better-characterized and most intensively studied oncogenic viruses of humans and animals. Many DNA and RNA viruses have been proved to be oncogenic (or carcinogenic) in a variety of animals, ranging from amphibia to primates, and évidence grows stronger that certain forms of human cancer are of viral origin. Several DNA viruses have been associated with the ca...
Suppressor of cytokine signaling 1 (SOCS1) is the key regulator of cytokine-mediated innate and adaptive immunity. One of the molecular mechanisms of SOCS1 is connected with inhibition of TLR4-NFkappaB pathway. The relationships among these molecules in laryngeal carcinoma are not exactly known. In this preliminary study we focused on their special activity and role in regulation of development...

We report the case of a 48-year-old man with synovial sarcoma of the larynx. He underwent excision of the tumor followed by radiation. He is alive in remission at 36 month...
BACKGROUND The laryngeal schwannoma is a rare benign tumor of the larynx, most frequently found in the aryepiglottic fold, which can be rather bulky when diagnosed. METHODS We present a primary transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for a laryngeal schwannoma and highlight the advantages of the robotic assistance. RESULTS Thanks to the high-definition 3D dynamic vision and an improved freedom of ...
We describe a case of laryngeal amyloidoma in a 39-year-old man in whom CT examination disclosed a calcifield soft-tissue mass arising in the epiglottis. The presence of focal calcifications suggested a cartilaginous tumor.
