Angiosarcoma of the nasal cavity is extremely rare. We present a case of angiosarcoma of the nasal cavity in an eight-year-old boy. He was treated with medial maxillectomy via lateral rhinotomy. The histological diagnosis was confirmed by immunohistological stain with Factor VIII-like antigen. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was useful in determining the extent of the tumour.

Melanotic neuroectodermal tumour of infancy is an extremely rare neoplasm arising in newborns and young children, typically involving the face or cranium. A case arising from the maxilla, requiring extensive resection with a near-total maxillectomy, is presented. A thorough review of the literature on this unusual tumour is provided, with emphasis on prognostic factors and appropriate treatment.

Resection of a malignant lesion involving the maxilla produces severe oromaxillary defect that can seriously jeopardize the normal phonetics of the patient. These defects are effectively managed by well-designed and fabricated obturator. This paper discusses the oromaxillary prosthetic rehabilitation of a maxillectomy patient using a magnet retained two-piece hollow bulb definitive obturator.
