Zeolite monolayers in solution, reported recently for the framework MWW, enable unprecedented synthetic capabilities that include preparation of molecularly intimate mixtures different zeolite topologies. As a demonstration, MWW-MFI hybrid materials were synthesized by two methods: in-situ crystallization MFI adding template and silica to solutions MWW obtained from MCM-56, ex-situ mixing layer...
Surfactant-Modified MFI-Zeolite Nanosheets (SMZN) were used for the first time as anion-exchangers, in the case of nitrate ion removal. The SMZN material is characterized by high anionic exchange capacity and removal efficiency compared to classical SMZ prepared from clinoptilolite. The SMZN material is easily regenerated and could be probably employed to remove other anionic pollutants.
Isolated Re-oxo species within spatially constrained MFI zeolite channels were synthesized via exchange with Re2O7 vapor and shown to exist as isolated Re-oxo monomers. Turnover rates and Re-oxo structures did not depend on Re content. These materials were thermally stable and catalyzed alcohol oxidation reactions at unprecedented rates and near ambient temperatures.
Zeolites are crystalline inorganic porous materials formed by TO4 tetrahedra (T=Si, Al, P, etc.) with ordered microporous structures. As a result of their tunable acidities and framework structures, zeolites have been used widely in catalysis and molecular adsorption/separation as well as several other emerging applications. However, the pore size of a zeolite is usually smaller than 2 nm, whic...
The exploration of highly efficient catalysts based on nano-sized Ti-rich titanosilicate zeolites with controllable active titanium species is great importance in zeolite catalytic reactions. Herein, we reported an and facile synthesis TS-1 (MFI) by replacing tetrabutyl orthotitanate (TBOT) tetramer (TBOT-tetramer) as the source. introduced TBOT-tetramer slowed down crystallization process, acc...
• Recovery of alcohols from aqueous media by adsorption onto silicicalite-1 and silicalite-2 Pore filling mechanisms are mostly driven hydrogen bonding Coordination with the zeolite is mainly controlled energetic entropic factors for water respectively Despite MFI/MEL methanol/ethanol similarities, affected co-adsorbed alcohol Relatively more selective short into MFI compared to MEL Ethanol oth...
