Network-on-Chip (NoC) architectures represent a promising design paradigm to cope with increasing communication requirements in digital systems. Network-on-chip (NoC) has emerged as a vital factor that determines the performance and power consumption of many-core systems. A novel switching mechanism, called virtual circuit switching, is implemented with circuit switching and packet switching. A...

Energy has been the primary reason for shifting from traditional single-core processors to current multicore processors. Such multicore designs require an interconnection network to communicate cores among themselves and with memory. As the number of cores per chip increases, the energy consumption of these Networks-on-Chip (NoC) has become comparable to that of the cores computation, to the po...

Nowadays System-On-Chips (SoCs) have evolved considerably in term of performances, reliability and integration capacity. The last advantage has induced the growth of the number of cores or Intellectual Properties (IPs) in a same chip. Unfortunately, this important number of IPs has caused a new issue which is the intra-communication between the elements of a same chip. To resolve this problem, ...

Two network-on-chip (NoC) designs are examined and compared in this paper. One design applies a bidirectional ring connection scheme, while the other design applies a code-division multiple-access (CDMA) connection scheme. Both of the designs apply globally asynchronous locally synchronous (GALS) scheme in order to deal with the issue of transferring data in a multiple-clockdomain environment o...

Abstract A few decades ago, communication inside the chip is done by transferring signals between cores. This conventional method not worthy because of increase in latency and power consumption. To rectify this issue Network-on-Chip (NoC) technology has emerged. NoC invented to transfer data packets instead signals. Machine Learning (M/LNoC) a very fast-growing today’s Integrated Circuit world ...

The NoC is a specific flavour of interconnection networks. Interconnection networks have been studied for more than two decades and a solid foundation of design techniques is available. We will give a short introduction to the terminology, principles, theory of interconnection networks that are relevant for this thesis. Furthermore, we describe specific characteristics of NoCs in comparison wit...

Network-on-Chip (NoC) has been introduced to meet the communication challenges for on chip multi-processors and the bandwidth of NoC takes a significant role in area and power consumption of overall system. In order to minimize the bandwidth requirement of NoC, a mapping method is proposed to schedule the tasks of an application onto NoC architecture. More precisely, given the application task ...

Increasing the number of cores integrated on a chip and the problems of system on chips caused to emerge networks on chips. NoCs have features such as scalability and high performance. NoCs architecture provides communication infrastructure and in this way, the blocks were produced that their communication with each other made NoC. Due to increasing number of cores, the placement of the cores i...

We present additional examples of the NOC model’s descriptions on Imagenet images. We first present some examples where the model is able to generate descriptions of an object in different contexts. Then we present several examples to demonstrate the diversity of objects that NOC can describe. We then present examples where the model generates erroneous descriptions and categorize these errors.

Multivariate statistical process monitoring techniques are applied to pilot-plant, cell culture data for the purpose of fault detection and diagnosis. Data from 23 batches, 20 normal operating conditions (NOC) and three abnormal, were available. A PCA model was constructed from 19 NOC batches, while the remaining NOC batch was used for model validation. Subsequently, the model was used to succe...
