Background and purpose: Bipolar disorder is a severe psychiatric disorder with a variety of natural courses and manifestations, and a recurrent nature. The aim of this study was to determine the effective factors on recurrence using Andersen-Gill counting process model. Materials and methods: In an ambidirectional cohort study (4 years retrospective and 1 year prospective from 2007 to 2012), 2...

Background: The value of CA15-3(cancer antigen 15-3) marker in early detection of breast cancer recurrence has been studied in several prospective trials. But the results of these studies are different. This may be due to variable cutoff points used for analysis, different intervals between CA15-3 measurements and the differences between patients population. This study was done to examine the p...

The aim of this study was to investigate some risk factors in psoriasis and also to check that whether the rate of recurrence is fixed or variable in different seasons by using a time-dependent coefficients rate model. Methods: After rev...

We use recurrences (alias difference equations) to prove that the two most important permutation statistics, namely the number of inversions and the major index, are asymptotically joint-independently-normal. We even derive more-precise-than-needed asymptotic formulas for the (normalized) mixed moments.
