Power reduction is one of the main reasons for designing asynchronous circuits. Asynchronous circuits are inherently capable of having low power consumption. In this paper, we introduce five methods to achieve even lower power consumption. We have applied these methods to some sample circuits and the experimental results show that power reduction of 20% to 41% is obtainable.

There are several practical and intertangled issues which make the experiments of nuclear resonant vibrational spectroscopy (NRVS) on biological samples difficult to perform. The sample temperature is one of the most important issues. In NRVS the real sample temperatures can be very different from the readings on the temperature sensors. In this study the following have been performed: (i) citi...

ECMDB or the Escherichia coli Metabolome Database (http://www.ecmdb.ca) is a comprehensive database containing detailed information about the genome and metabolome of E. coli (K-12). First released in 2012, the ECMDB has undergone substantial expansion and many modifications over the past 4 years. This manuscript describes the most recent version of ECMDB (ECMDB 2.0). In particular, it provides...

BACKGROUND To investigate and compare the predictors of personal and perceived stigma associated with depression. METHOD Three samples were surveyed to investigate the predictors: a national sample of 1,001 Australian adults; a local community sample of 5,572 residents of the Australian Capital Territory and Queanbeyan aged 18 to 50 years; and a psychologically distressed subset (n = 487) of ...

BACKGROUND When planning a study to estimate disease prevalence to a pre-specified precision, it is of interest to minimize total testing cost. This is particularly challenging in the absence of a perfect reference test for the disease because different combinations of imperfect tests need to be considered. We illustrate the problem and a solution by designing a study to estimate the prevalence...

Sampling is a fundamental problem in both computer science and statistics. A number of issues arise when designing a method based on sampling. These include statistical considerations such as constructing a good sampling design and ensuring there are good, tractable estimators for the quantities of interest as well as computational considerations such as designing fast algorithms for streaming ...

in this thesis, spin dependend transport and electron transport through of ng/sg(graphene/ superconductor graphen) are studied in the junction of ng/fgt/sg. due to andreev reflection conductance increases in the presence of superconductor graphene.also, by applying a voltage gate on a superconductor, fermi level shifts and the conductance is independent of ferromagnatic substrate. also, the cond...

This study compares the status of the Technical schools (Fani herfeee & Kardanesh). The research was conducted in Khorasan Razavi (E. North of Iran). We compared educational components including human resources، the equipment and workshop places with the existing standards. In this research، the target population constitutes boy students of Kardansh school and the sample included the field studi...

In designing our study, we faced a tradeoff between analyzing a smaller sample with a homogeneous phenotype measure versus attaining a larger sample by jointly analyzing data from multiple cohorts with heterogeneous measures. For example, in our analysis of subjective well-being, we included measures of both life satisfaction and positive affect, even though these constructs are conceptually di...
