In this paper, the relations among T-invariants, repetitive vectors and siphons are investigated and new methods for computing repetitive vectors and siphons are suggested based on them. The transition-added net of a net is defined and a relation is shown that there always exists a T-invariant of the transition-added net corresponding to a repetitive vector of the original net, and vice versa. ...

The aim of this paper is to determine Frenet-Serret invariants of non-null curves in Lorentzian 5-space. First, we define a vector product of four vectors, by this way, we present a method to calculate Frenet-Serret invariants of the non-null curves. Additionally, an algebraic example of presented method is illustrated. Keywords—Lorentzian 5-space; Frenet-Serret Invariants; Nonnull Curves.

In this paper, we develop numerical methods based on the weighted Birkhoff average for studying two-dimensional invariant tori volume-preserving maps. The do not rely symmetries, such as time-reversal symmetry, nor approximating by periodic orbits. rate of convergence gives a sharp distinction between chaotic and regular dynamics allows accurate computation rotation vectors Resonant rotational ...

In this paper a method for digital image orientation recognition is proposed. Feature vectors are chosen to be flip-invariant to effectively classify images onto portrait-oriented and landscapeoriented. A new texture feature is proposed based on the observation that more textured areas are located usually in the lower part of the image. The method was implemented in software and tested using an...

Affine Differential Geometry provides a set of measures invariant under a larger set of transformations compared to rigid motions. This leads to several applications using robust shape descriptors. Although affine invariant operations are already used for surfaces, they do not intend to approximate the definitions of Affine Differential Geometry, which are the basis for further differential inv...

In this paper we introduce a novel domain-invariant covariance normalization (DICN) technique to relocate both in-domain and out-domain i-vectors into a third dataset-invariant space, providing an improvement for out-domain PLDA speaker verification with a very small number of unlabelled in-domain adaptation i-vectors. By capturing the dataset variance from a global mean using both development ...

In a two-dimensional pattern matching problem, a known template image has be located in another image, irrespective of the template's position, orientation and size in the image. One way to accomplish invariance to the changes in the template is by forming a set of feature vectors that encompass all the variations in the template. Matching is then performed by finding the best similarity betwee...

We consider a continuous dynamical system f : X → X on a compact metric space X equipped with an m-dimensional continuous potential Φ = (φ1, · · · , φm) : X → R . We study the set of ground states GS(α) of the potential α · Φ as a function of the direction vector α ∈ S. We show that the structure of the ground state sets is naturally related to the geometry of the generalized rotation set of Φ....

In this paper, a new way of using phonetic DNN in textindependent speaker recognition is examined. Inspired by the Subspace GMM approach to speech recognition, we try to extract i-vectors that are invariant to the phonetic content of the utterance. We overcome the assumption of Gaussian distributed senones by combining DNN with UBM posteriors and we form a complete EM algorithm for training and...

Consider a closed, smooth manifold M of non-positive curvature. Write p:UM→M for the unit tangent bundle over M and let > denote the subset consisting of all vectors of higher rank. This subset is closed and invariant under the geodesic flow on UM. We define the structured dimension s-dim > which, essentially, is the dimension of the set p( > ) of base points of > . The main result of ...
