Long term complications of laparoscopic cholecystectomy are uncommon. However, as experience with this procedure accumulates, sporadic reports of non-biliary complication have been published. We report a case of abdominal wall sinus formation secondary to gallbladder perforation and stone spillage occurring during laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
We describe the laparoscopic excision of a hydatid cyst in the liver. During the procedure, done after treatment with the scolicidal agents praziquantel and albendazole, care was taken to prevent spillage of scolices during evacuation of contents and to excise the entire germinal epithelium. The patient had no immediate or short-term complications and is asymptomatic 3 months later.
Background: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) using surgical electrocautery is considered to be the gold standard procedure for treatment of uncomplicated cholecystitis and cholelithiasis. The objective current study was evaluate effectiveness safety Harmonic scalpel, an advanced laparoscopic technique when compared electrocautery. Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common neoplasm of the parotid gland. It is associated with the risk of recurrence and malignant transformation. Tumor spillage, incomplete excision, and violation of the tumor pseudocapsule are considered the only proven factors contributing to recurrent disease. The upward spread of recurrent pleomorphic adenoma along the fallopian canal via the stylomastoid fo...
We report a case of nephrostomy tract tumor seeding following percutaneous pyeloscopic manipulation of a renal pelvic carcinoma. To our knowledge, this is the second reported case of such a lesion surrounding the nephrostomy tract. Percutaneous pyeloscopic treatment carries a potential risk of local tumor spillage and implantation in the nephrostomy tract.
Perforation of the gallbladder has an incidence of 1.6 to 2.8% in gallbladder disease. Among these cases transhepatic rupture is a very rare event. We report a case associated with secondary massive hemoperitoneum, free gallstone spillage, partial portal vein thrombosis and secondary pulmonary embolism.
The objective of this study was to evaluate and obtain mathematical models, using the experimental design methodology, capable predicting contamination benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene xylenes (BTEX) in cases oil spillage at sea, acute toxicity soluble petroleum fraction (FSA). factorial planning developed describe concentration each compound according variables: °API, contact time oil/seawater a...
