This paper relates labelled transition systems and coalgebras with the motivation of comparing and combining their complementary contributions to the theory of concurrent systems. The well-known mismatch between these two notions concerning the morphisms is resolved by extending the coalgebraic framework by lax cohomomorphisms. Enriching both labelled transition systems and coalgebras with alge...

In this talk we introduce generalised Calogero–Moser models and demonstrate their integrability by constructing universal Lax pair operators. These include models based on non-crystallographic root systems, that is the root systems of the finite reflection groups, H3, H4, and the dihedral group I2(m), besides the well-known ones based on crystallographic root systems, namely those associated wi...

The tensorial form of the Lax pair equations are given in a compact and geometrically transparent form in the presence of Cartan's torsion ten-sor. Three dimensional spacetimes admitting Lax tensors are analyzed in detail. Solutions to Lax tensor equations include interesting examples as separable coordinates and the Toda lattice.

Acoustic evidence suggests that contemporary Seoul Korean may be developing a tonal system, which is arising in the context of a nearly completed change in how speakers use voice onset time (VOT) to mark the language’s distinction among tense, lax and aspirated stops.Data from 36 native speakers of varying ages indicate that while VOT for tense stops has not changed since the 1960s, VOT differe...

Calogero-Moser models and Toda models are well-known integrable multi-particle dynamical systems based on root systems associated with Lie algebras. The relation between these two types of integrable models is investigated at the levels of the Hamiltonians and the Lax pairs. The Lax pairs of Calogero-Moser models are specified by t he representations of the reflection groups, which are not the ...

BACKGROUND AND AIMS The root meristem of the Arabidopsis thaliana mature embryo is a highly organized structure in which individual cell shape and size must be regulated in co-ordination with the surrounding cells. The objective of this study was to determine the role of the AUX1 LAX family of auxin import carriers during the establishment of the embryonic root cell pattern. METHODS The radic...

the rectangular broad crested weirs are widely used to measure the water dischargewhich is one of the most popular tools in the irrigation canals particularly, in developingcountries.the present article is trying to demonstrate the results of an experimental work carriedout on rectangular broad crested weir with sloped upstream face to investigate the effect ofupstream slope on discharge effici...

Abstract. The nonoscillatory central difference scheme of Nessyahu and Tadmor is a Godunovtype scheme for one-dimensional hyperbolic conservation laws in which the resolution of Riemann problems at the cell interfaces is bypassed thanks to the use of the staggered Lax–Friedrichs scheme. Piecewise linear MUSCL-type (monotonic upstream-centered scheme for conservation laws) cell interpolants and ...
