A new species of the gekkonid genus Cnemaspis is described from the lateritic plateau of the northern Western Ghats of Maharashtra, western India. The new species is diagnosed by the following suite of characters: small sized Cnemaspis, SVL less than 35 mm (21.52-33.65). Syzygium laetum (Myrtaceae) is an endemic species of Western Ghats. The karyomorphology reported for the first time with mitotic chromosome number 2n=22. karyotype formula 2n=22=18m+4sm. a 2A type Stebbins category.

The occurrences of Macromidia donaldi (Fraser, 1924) and Merogomphus longistigma 1922) are reported for the first time in northern Western Ghats India. observations northernmost records these species. Archibasis oscillans Selys, 1877 is reported for the first time from Maharashtra, India; and record of Merogomphus tamaracherriensis Fraser, 1931, based on photographic evidence taken Sindhudurg, Maharashtra. We report range extension both species in northern Western Ghats.

The genus, Prosoponoides (Millidge & Russell-Smith , 1992)is recorded for the first time from India. A new species namely idukkiensis sp.nov. is reported Western Ghats, India.P. differs other in arrangement of spermatheca. Descriptions, photos and distributional maps are also provided.
