A Tri-Band I slotted rectangular patch microstrip antenna is presented in this paper .The antenna resonates at1.43 GHz, 5.16 GHz and 7.60 GHz frequencies. The antenna is fed with coaxial feed giving band widths of 10.52%, 7.20% & 30.83% for VSWR values less than 1.14.Theproposed antenna can be used for WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) applications.

Recently, the many services for the cellular phone are spread. Therefore, the broadband antenna for handsets is required. In our previous paper [1], the planar folded dipole antenna (PFDA) with a feed line, which consists of two parallel lines has been introduced and its characteristics have been analyzed. As a result, it was found that PFDA with a feed line had a broadband characteristic and t...

Single and Dual feed Antennas with dual frequencies have been demonstrated. Varactor diodes are used for independent tuning. The PIFA (Planar Inverted F-Antenna) has two frequencies from 0.7 to 1.1 GHz and from 1.7 to 2.3GHz. Impedance match of about -10dB an isolation greater than 13dB is obtained. The single feed antenna can be tuned from 1.2 to 1.6GHz and 1.6 to 2.3 GHz. The antenna volumes ...

In this paper, a novel microstrip-fed compact antenna with triple band-notched characteristics is presented for ultrawideband (UWB) applications. The antenna consists of a circular radiating patch, a 50 Ω microstrip feed line, a partially slotted ground plane, and a pair of modified capacitance loaded loop (MCLL) resonators. The novel resonators are symmetrically located in the vicinity of the ...

In this paper the rectangular microstrip patch antenna arrays has been designed for S, C and X-band application by using the IE3D simulator. Roger RT/duroid material with dielectric constant 2.2 and height 1.588 has been used as a substrate material. Microstrip inset line feed has been used for feeding the rectangular patch antenna. Here 1x2 and 1x4 patch antenna array has been designed using s...

1. Abstract In this design, the dual band dipole antenna feed network with wide bandwidth tapered microstrip balun is studied. The design and experimental results of low profile embedded microstrip dipole antenna with tapered microstrip balun shows fairly good performances. The feed network of the design with wider bandwidth and lower power loss tapered microstrip line to overlap coplanar strip...

A novel twin-diamond-shaped antenna is presented for wideband circularly polarized (CP) radiation. By introducing a twin-diamond-shaped patch and a gap-coupled feed structure, a lefthanded circularly polarized (LHCP) antenna in bore-sight direction is obtained. The gap-coupled feed structure consists of a horizontal microstrip arm of approximately 0.285λ0 at the centre frequency and two small d...

This paper presents a simple broadband proximitycoupled microstrip patch antenna. A circular patch is used as the main radiator, and an H-shaped shot is cut in the ground plane below the feed line. A stepped-width microstrip line is used to feed the patch through proximity coupling. By using a single patch, the prototype antenna achieves an impedance bandwidth of 26%. Low cross-polar levels bel...

The development of a compact, lightweight, dualfrequency antenna feed for future soil moisture and sea surface salinity (SSS) missions is described. The design is based on the microstrip stacked-patch array (MSPA) to be used to feed a large lightweight deployable rotating mesh antenna for spaceborne L-band (~1 GHz) passive and active sensing systems. The design features will also enable applica...

The single-feed design of compact microstrip patch antenna with a rectangular ring slot has been demonstrated and results are presented. Simply by inserting a narrow slot of proper length and width on the patch surface, a bandwidth of 330 MHz (9.04 %) with a gain of 2.93 dB is achieved. Results also indicate that, at fixed operating frequency, the proposed design has good omni-directional radia...
