During investigations into sulfide- and selenide-amination reactions using the aminating agent o-mesitylsulfonylhydroxylamine, the monoclinic, (I), and orthorhombic, (II), polymorphs of ammonium 2,4,6-trimethylbenzenesulfonate, NH4+.C9H11O3S-, have been crystallized. Investigation of the hydrogen-bonding motifs within the two polymorphs shows that both contain N+-H...O- hydrogen bonds between t...

[reaction: see text] A one-pot protocol for converting 1,3- and 1,4-substituted aryl halides to arylamine boronate esters is described. This is achieved by sequential Ir-catalyzed aromatic borylation at the least hindered C-H bond of the aryl halide and subsequent Pd-catalyzed C-N coupling at the halide position of the crude arylboronic ester.

We report the chiral diene ligated rhodium-catalyzed dynamic kinetic asymmetric transformation (DYKAT) of racemic secondary allylic trichloroacetimidates with a variety of N-methyl anilines, providing allylic N-methyl arylamines in high yields, regioselectivity, and enantiomeric excess. The rhodium-catalyzed DYKAT method addresses limitations previously associated with this particular class of ...

[reaction: see text] A mild method for the copper-catalyzed amination of aryl iodides is reported. This operationally simple C-N bond-forming protocol uses CuI as the catalyst and ethylene glycol as ligand in 2-propanol. A variety of functionalized aryl iodides as well as several amines were efficiently coupled using this method. This catalytic amination procedure is relatively insensitive to m...

The first examples of palladium-catalyzed oxidative amination of unactivated alkyl olefins have been identified. To be successful, these reactions must be conducted under cocatalyst-free conditions that involve direct dioxygen-coupled turnover of the palladium catalyst. The oxidative amination products of norbornene and other cyclic alkenes implicate a cis-aminopalladation mechanism.

Chiral carbohydrate-based diphosphites were used for Pd-catalysed asymmetric allylic substitution (alkylation, amination, phosphination) in neat ionic liquids (ILs). Pyrrolidinium-based IL led to the best activities, allowing an efficient catalyst immobilization. In the allylic amination (TOF > 3100 h(-1)), the catalyst could be recycled nine times preserving both activity and enantioselectivity.

in present research work, homogeneous anion exchange membranes based on polysulfone (qapsfs) were prepared via chloromethylation, amination and alkalization. in amination step, trimethylamine and n,n,n',n'-tetramethyl-1,6-hexanediamine were used as amination and crosslinking agents, respectively. the chloromethylated polysulfone was characterized by 1hnmr spectroscopy and chloromethylation degr...

The direct conversion of aliphatic CH bonds into CN bonds provides an attractive approach to the introduction of nitrogen-containing functionalities in organic molecules. Following the recent discovery that cytochrome P450 enzymes can catalyze the cyclization of arylsulfonyl azide compounds via an intramolecular C(sp(3))H amination reaction, we have explored here the CH amination reactivity of ...

Asymmetric allylic amination or oxidation can be achieved by reaction of an alkene with a peroxycarbamate catalysed by a chiral copper bis-oxazoline complex, and the reaction can be tuned to give either the amination or oxidation product by reagent choice.
