In this paper we present existence theorems for the second order discrete boundary value problem in Banach spaces under weaker conditions we have known. We suppose the weak sequential continuity and some conditions expressed in terms of the measure of weak noncompactness.
A weak form of weak quasi-continuity, which we call subweak quasi-continuity, is introduced. It is shown that subweak quasi-continuity is strictly weaker than weak quasicontinuity. Subweak quasi-continuity is used to strengthen several results in the literature concerning weak quasi-continuity. Specifically, results concerning the graph, graph function, and restriction of a weakly quasi-continu...

Attempts to extend process management to support pathways in the health domain have not been as successful as workflow for routine business processes. In part this is due to the dynamic nature of knowledge-intensive work such as care pathways: the actions performed change continuously in response to the knowledge developed by those actions. Also, care pathways involve significant informal commu...
A major flood in 1997 forced the evacuation of Grand Forks, North Dakota and caused damage of USD 1 billion. Despite this recent disaster there is only marginal evidence of an increase in disaster recovery planning by businesses that experienced the flood. This finding is consistent with the results of other business-related disaster research. Statistical tests of survey results from 2003 indic...
