Binary addition is one of the most important arithmetic function in modern digital VLSI systems. Adders are extensively used as DSP lattice filter where the ripple carry adders are replaced by the parallel prefix adder to decrease the delay. The requirement of the adder is fast and secondly efficient in terms of power consumption and chip area. Speculative variable latency adders have attracted...
In digital VLSI systems binary addition is the most significance arithmetic function. To a great extent adders are used as DSP lattice filter where the ripple carry adders are substituted by the parallel prefix adder to reduce delay. The requirement of adder is that it is fast and it has area efficient and low power consumption. In this the parallel prefix adder is introduced as speculative Han...
Recognizing that most poor families are singleparent families, the federal welfare reform law of 1996 emphasized the responsibility of both parents to support their children. In addition to strengthening the child support enforcement system, the law included several provisions designed to decrease childbearing outside of marriage and to promote two-parent families. This article focuses on the i...
The possible observability indices of an observable pair of matrices, when supplementary subpairs are prescribed, are characterized when the “quotient” one is nilpotent. The geometric techniques used are also valid in the classical Carlson problem for square matrices.
A modified Carlson-Langer model for earthquakes is proposed, which includes nonlinear viscoelasticity. Several aftershocks are generated after the main shock owing to the damping of the additional viscoelastic force. Both the Gutenberg-Richter law and Omori's law are reproduced in a numerical simulation of the modified Carlson-Langer model on a critical percolation cluster of a square lattice.
For every integer k > 2 let [k] 1 is a subset of [k]<N of the form {w} ∪ { ww0(a0) ...wn(an) : n ∈ {0, ...,m− 1} and a0, ..., an ∈ [k] } where w is a word over k and (wn) m−1 n=0 is a finite sequence of left variable words over k. We study the behavior of a family of measurable events in a probability space index...
