A newly prepared iminocoumarin-functionalized magnetic nanosilica (Ni@SiO(2)-1) was found to form a selective stable complex with Cu(2+) over other metal ions. Quantification of Cu(2+) ions in aqueous solution using Ni@SiO(2)-1 is demonstrated through a fluorescent demetallization ensemble process.

In the title compound, [Cu(CH(3)COO)(2)(C(18)H(16)N(2)O(2))]·4H(2)O, the Cu(II) ion is six-coordinated in a Jahn-Teller-distorted octa-hedral geometry environment defined by four O atoms and two N atoms. A chain structure along [100] is built up by inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the uncoordinated water mol-ecules.

incorporation of copper species into silica matrix was performed by the sol-gel method. copper ions and copper particles were doped using two different copper sources; cu(no3)2.3h2o and copper particles chemically synthesized.the particles of copper metallic, cuprous and cupric oxide were prepared and the synthesis and characterizations of copper species were compared together. on the other han...

In order to investigate the functions of reductones, their mutagenic action was studied with and without cupric ion using Salmo nella typhimurium TA 100 strain. Triose reductone (TR), which has the simplest enediol structure among reductones, induced a notable frequency of his+ revertants at 2.5 or 5mM. The addition of cupric ion to TR at a molar ratio of 1:1,000 lowered the most active concent...

The mechanism of selenium(+4) electrocbemical reduction in acidic perchlorate solutions was studied. Dropping mercury and hanging mercury drop electrodes were used in direct current, alternating current, pulse and differential pulse polarographic and voltammetric measurements. Potentiostatic electrolysis experiments on mercury electrode were also performed. Precipitates formed on the electrode ...

The title complex, [Cu(C(8)H(5)O(4))(NO(3))(C(18)H(10)N(4))(H(2)O)], was synthesized by reacting Cu(NO(3))(2), isophthalic acid and dipyridophenazine under hydro-thermal conditions. The Cu(II) ion is in a slightly distorted square-pyramidal coordination environment. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect complex mol-ecules into chains along [001].

In the title complex, [Cu(ClO(4))(2)(C(7)H(12)N(2)O)(2)], the Cu(II) ion lies on a crystallographic inversion centre. The coordination sphere around Cu(II) ion can be described as tetragonally distorted octa-hedral with two perchlorate O atoms occupying the apical positions and four N atoms from two N(1)-(2-furyl-methyl)ethane-1,2-diamine ligands in the basal plane.

The title complex, [Cu(2)(C(15)H(12)N(3)O(2)S)(2)(NO(3))(CH(3)OH)]NO(3), has two Cu(II) centres coordinated by two deprotonated 2-[(benzothia-zol-2-yl)hydrazonometh-yl]-6-methoxy-phenol ligands, a methanol mol-ecule and a nitrate ion. Both Cu(II) centres are penta-coordinated in a distorted square-pyramidal fashion. The crystal structure is stabilized by N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
