Aim: We aimed to examine the presence, number, anatomic location of nutrient foramen in long bones upper and lower limbs calculate index. Materials Methods: Our study was conducted on a total 295 bones, including 25 clavicle, 59 humerus, 49 radius, 32 ulna, femur, tibia, 22 fibula. The number each bone, direction its opening were determined recorded. All photographed with millimeter ruler. bone...
BACKGROUND Fractures of the distal third of the tibia are mostly associated with a fibular fracture that often requires fixation. The preferred treatment of distal tibial fracture is the minimally invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis (MIPPO) procedure. However, there are no clear cut guidelines on fixation of the fibular fracture and currently most orthopedic surgeons use a plate osteosyn...
The level of complications after treatment patients with bone fractures stays high 22–60 %. Understanding ankle-foot joint biomechanics is critical for choosing trendy methods hybrid fixation or the traditional fibula plate and positional screw distal syndesmosis. Objective. To analyze effectiveness surgical unstable trans- suprasyndesmosis stable-elastic (HSEF) in comparison method a positioni...
Chondromyxoid fibromas account for <1% of primary bone neoplasms. We report one such case occurring in the distal fibula of a 27-year-old woman. The patient underwent curettage, followed by phenolisation, insertion of a Steinmann pin, and cementation. This treatment reduced morbidity, restored stability, and enabled rapid functional recovery. There was no recurrence after 2 years.
Giant cell tumour of the bone (GCT) is a rare locally aggressive primary bone tumour with an incidence of 3% to 5% of all primary bone tumours. The most common location for this tumour is the long bone metaepiphysis especially of the distal femur, proximal tibia, distal radius, and the proximal humerus. Involvement of distal ulna is rare accounting for 0.45% to 3.2%. Considering local aggressiv...
Clinicians and anatomists have ignored the superior tibiofibular joint too long. As Dr. Arthur Helfet5 states: "The superior tibiofibular joint has suffered clinical and literary neglect." Although pathology of this joint is relatively uncommon, it must be considered as a differential diagnosis. Persistent, vague symptoms of the lateral aspect of the knee may include pathology to the superior t...
We report four patients with unilateral bowing of the lower leg, affecting only the fibula. The bone is too long with anterolateral curvature of the distal third. Because of its regressive course and the absence of cutaneous involvement, this newly described entity can be distinguished from other forms of bowing of the leg.
