The incidence of tuberculosis has increased over the last several years. Bones and joints tuberculosis makes 20% of all extrapulmonary locations of tuberculosis. In Poland this form of tuberculosis is underdiagnosed. We present three cases with tuberculosis of bones, joints and lung to remind the basic principles of diagnosis and treatment.

Hepatic tuberculosis is an unusual form of extrapulmonary tuberculosis and constitutes less than 1% of all cases of tuberculosis. Imaging studies for hepatic tuberculosis are nonspecific and mimic primary or metastatic carcinoma. Here we present ¹⁸F-FDG PET/CT images of a 25-year-old male patient with isolated hepatic tuberculosis.

Tuberculosis remains a serious infectious disease with primary features of pulmonary manifestation in Korea. However, duodenal tuberculosis is rare in gastrointestinal cases of extrapulmonary tuberculosis. Here, we report a case of primary duodenal tuberculosis mistaken as a malignant tumor and diagnosed with QuantiFERON-TB GOLD (Cellestis Ltd.) in an immunocompetent male patient.
